My initial idea

Romantic film based around boy meets girl and this initial idea has taken inspiration from the short film analysis i did of 'Love sick' with the genre and a couple of the narrative elements for instance, the boy falls in love with the girl and chases after her.
Narrative
A boy and girl are sat on opposite each other on a train and they know each other because they were friends throughout their childhood but haven't seen each other since they left school due to different colleges/universities. Furthermore, there was drama between them during high school which forced them to stop speaking. It then goes into different scenarios from each view point. The stories/ their viewpoint of each other somehow combine (an insight into their childhood, all the drama and how she was in love with him all along) with each other and he 'falls in love with her' because she has changed for the better and overwhelmed by seeing her again. When snapped back to reality he realised she is getting off the train and gets off regardless even though that it's not his destination. He chases after her when he witnesses her meeting another boy and she didn't even realise it was him. Heartbroken, he walks away and somehow fate makes them be reunited in the near future where he gains the confidence to start a conversation with her.
The characters
They are a teenage age, 19. It would be better if they would be from similar cliques for instance, have similar interests and wear similar clothes therefore it would make our short film more realistic and the on screen connection between them would appear better.
Location
Overall, they are situated on a train but as it goes into different viewpoints, it will go from various locations for instance, where they grew up together, their houses, their school and also he chases her through a train station. The train station should be in a main city where it will be large and busy to show the lengths he will go to to get to her and it is also a more stereotypical romance genre location as opposed to a deserted small town platform.
